Founded in 1989, the Chesapeake MSBL is a 501(c)3 Non-Profit Corporation and is currently the largest amateur baseball league in the State of Maryland.   We are made up of over 600 players with varying experience levels, ranging from those who simply played recreation ball growing up to some that made it all the way to the Big League!

 

As a charitable organization,  our league is focused on providing a place to play baseball for those who still want to get out there as well as giving back to our immediate community.  Our goal is to deliver the most organized, competitively balanced and immersive adult baseball playing experience for our members.  

 

Since 2015, our league has been in charge of the maintenance for Bestgate Park.  In addition to working with our partners at St. Mary's Parish's baseball program,  our league has dedicated countless hours and materials to improving the playing field at Bestgate Park.  We have provided infield mix, clay and other necessary materials as well as donated machinery and man hours to improve that field.  Our league also works with the local High Schools and the coaching staff to provide donations every year as a way to give back to those programs for allowing our league the privilege of using their fields and facilities.
